Shopping Cart One of our authors, Tom Smith passed away on the 13th of May. He was at home till recently but spent the last few weeks in a care home. He managed a day trip on a canal boat in Edinburgh (no rough seas there) on his 80th birthday with all the family then started sleeping more and it was a very peaceful end with daughters and his wife Norma all there.
Tom contributed the Shetland section of Orkney and Shetland Sea Kayaking. He was very proud of the book and passed on the baton to Rachel Shucksmith who updated the new 2nd edition and who now keeps the book up to date.
